//Games & Players//
What free-roam VR feels like, how many players fit, what languages we support — basics first.
How does it work?
+
You arrive at VR Arena, we welcome your group, walk through the rules, and help everyone gear up.
Then you put on a VR headset and step into the game. You move around a real, physical arena while the headset shows you a virtual world. You can walk, interact with objects, complete missions, and play together with your team.
No VR experience needed — our team explains everything before the game.
Are all sessions private?
+
What do we get after the game?
+
What games do you have?
+
We offer a range of VR games and scenarios: team missions, action, adventures, family games, and dedicated experiences for kids.
Not sure what to pick? We'll help you choose based on age, group size, and how active you want to be.
How many players at once?
+
- In one game — up to 24 players (Shmooter, our flagship PvP title).
- Parallel on the 700m² arena — up to 32 players across different groups.
- Big events — up to 100 guests rotating between 3 rooms.
Unusual group size? Get in touch — we'll tailor the format.
Can I come alone?
+
Yes. We have a Single VR format for one player — €20 for 25 min or €25 for 50 min.
What is VEX Adventure?
+
VEX Adventure is our new immersive VR format with haptic vests. Up to 6 players, 45 minutes, PvE adventures.
It's a different experience than VR Arena — fewer players, deeper immersion, you feel hits and tactile effects inside the game.
Status: launching soon. Sign up to be notified — we'll send the launch date plus priority access to the first week.
Do we choose a game in advance?
+
Works for a family with kids 7 and 12?
+
Yes — a perfect scenario. We have games built for mixed-age groups where the younger ones stay engaged and the older ones aren't bored. We'll match the format to ages and activity level.
Will I like it if I don't play video games?
+
What language are the games in?
+
Briefing & onboarding — Portuguese or English, your call.
The games themselves — no language barrier. VR adventures are about movement and interaction, not reading text. Minimal text in-game, everything is intuitive. Great for tourists and international groups.
//Events & Parties//
Birthdays, corporate team-building, big private parties — packages, what's included, deposits, food & drinks.
Can I host a birthday at VR Arena?
+
Yes. Book a private VR session and add the party room.
Guests play VR first, then keep the party going in a dedicated room with furniture, mini-kitchen, TV zone and PlayStation 5.
Works for kids', teen and adult birthdays.
What kids' birthday packages do you have?
+
Four ready-made packages by group size:
- Up to 6 kids — €240
- Up to 12 kids — €360 (★ most popular)
- Up to 18 kids — €540
- Up to 24 kids — €720
Each includes: private room 2h30 + 50 min VR play + operator. Add-ons available: extra play time, catering, cake, decoration, animator.
What's included in the birthday package?
+
What do parents/adults do while kids play?
+
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
+
Is alcohol allowed?
+
Do you run corporate & team-building events?
+
Yes. We run corporate events, team-building, private group games, and large events.
VR works well for teams: people talk, take on missions together, laugh, and share a memorable experience. Most participants aren't gamers — the format works for everyone.
Can we run a large private event?
+
Yes. For groups of 32+ we build a custom format: player rotations across 3 rooms, multiple sessions, or a combined schedule. Up to 100 guests per event.
Reach out with the headcount, date and event type — we'll propose the best fit.
What are the conditions for private events?
+
You have 48 hours to pay the deposit after creating a booking — otherwise the slot is released. Deposit is usually 50% of the total.
The package is sized to a specific headcount. You can reduce the count up to 1 week before the event. Increasing — anytime if there's capacity. All players need anti-slip socks (your own or buy at the venue).
Full deposit refund — if cancelled at least 2 weeks before the event. Closer than that — the deposit isn't refunded. Date changes are possible by agreement; we try to be flexible.
⚠ These conditions apply only to private events. For regular sessions, see Booking.
Can I buy a gift card?
+
Yes. We have gift cards for every format: single session (from €35), group game (from €60), kids' birthday (from €240). Cards arrive by email instantly — perfect for last-minute gifts.
How long is a gift card valid? Can I transfer it?
+
- Validity: 12 months from the purchase date.
- Transfer: yes — you can gift or pass the card on. Redemption is via a unique code; anyone with the code can use it.
- Partial use: yes — if the card is worth more than a session, the balance stays on the account until the validity ends.
- Refund: within 14 days of purchase (PT law), if the card hasn't been activated.
//Safety & Gear//
Ages, health, accessibility, what to wear, what we use — the practicalities of a 700m² active VR session.
Minimum age?
+
Minimum age is 6 years old. For safety and comfort, kids under 6 can't play.
Almost 6? Contact us before booking — we'll guide you.
What do we sign before playing?
+
A short consent form — safety rules + confirmation that active physical play suits you. Filled in on a tablet at the desk or beforehand via a link we email after booking.
18+ players sign for themselves. Under-18s — a parent or legal guardian signs in person at check-in. Minors are flagged in our system.
Can I bump into walls or other players?
+
The game is designed for free movement, and we walk you through safe movement before starting.
During play, participants keep distance and avoid sudden moves, and an operator monitors the session throughout. No running, jumping or pushing.
Any health contraindications?
+
We don't recommend playing if you have:
- · Pregnancy
- · Epilepsy or other seizure disorders, photosensitivity
- · Serious cardiovascular conditions
- · Recent head, neck or back injuries
- · Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Some games are active: walking, turning, ducking, moving around. If you have mobility limits, a recent operation, or other health considerations, contact us before booking — we'll help pick a comfortable format or tell you honestly if active VR isn't right.
Is the arena accessible?
+
We aim to be accessible to everyone. Step-free entrance and free space at the door. Play is possible with one sighted eye. Severe hearing loss can limit briefing comprehension — message us in advance and we'll adapt format and support.
Wheelchair users — please contact us before booking. Some scenarios require self-mobility; some we can adapt. Tell us about your needs and we'll find a comfortable option.
Can we take photos and videos?
+
Yes. We take a team photo before each game and capture short videos during the session — sent to you after.
Photo/video consent (including kids) is governed by our Privacy Policy, accepted at registration. If you don't want your child's photo/video used on our social channels, just tell the host or mark it on the form — we'll keep them for your private archive only.
What should I wear and bring?
+
Comfortable clothes that don't restrict movement. Sportswear isn't required, but the game can be active — keep that in mind.
All games are played without shoes, in anti-slip socks only. Bring your own or buy at the venue. Glasses? Bring them — they usually fit under the headset. Bags and coats go in lockers in the lounge.
Do we play without shoes?
+
Can I play with glasses?
+
Will VR make me motion sick?
+
Usually motion sickness is minimal or absent entirely. In free-roam VR you move physically through the arena, which makes the experience feel more natural than regular VR.
If you're sensitive to motion sickness, let us know before the game — we'll help find the most comfortable format.
What if my child gets scared mid-game?
+
Can kids play without an adult?
+
What equipment do you use?
+
- VR headsets: Meta Quest 3 (latest gen, wireless, lightweight)
- Controllers: wireless, motion-tracked
- Full-body tracking across the whole arena
- Hygienic disposable pads on the headset for every player
All equipment is disinfected after every session.
